Atelier 6000 presents Branching Out on view in December is a metaphor for exploration into new imagery and technique. In the spirit of the “handmade” this exhibition epitomizes small revered objects d’art. Atelier 6000 is a printmaking studio and book art center offering classes, workshops and gallery exhibitions. Its contemporary popup gallery is located in the old Lahaina Galleries space.  
 

DeWilde Art Glass (the small red shack building next Vanilla) offers handmade stained glass windows, doors and individual hanging works of art in various sizes and price ranges. Stop in to see samples of custom work or the latest commission in progress in the workshop.  
 

Lubbesmeyer Studio & Gallery presents Snapshots offers small works in fiber and paint, including abstract landscapes and dramatic views of the sky on view in December. The Lubbesmeyer twins will be working through the holiday season creating unique original art for the art collector in your life.  
 
Tumalo Art Co. presents Little Delights an exhibition that features small works that make it possible for you to give art, the completely original gift! Discover one-of-a-kind creations perfect for hanging on the tree—from hand-made ornaments and small paintings to hand-blown glass, custom jewelry, and ceramics. Enjoy this festive holiday exhibition each year at the gallery.

Art Station is the perfect place for artistic expression. No matter your age or interest, the Art Station’s wide variety of classes, schedules and media will deliver the joy of creating an original work of art for kids, teens and adults.  Art Paired with Wine classes on December 20. The Winter-Spring catalogue of art classes is available online starting December 7. High Desert Journal is a biannual literary and visual art magazine dedicated to further understanding the people, places and issues of the interior West. The current issue includes work by Brooke Williams, Oregon Poet Laureate, Paulann Petersen, Kim Stafford and Obsidian Prize winners.
The High Desert Journal and website are brimming with quality fiction, nonfiction, poetry, interviews and book reviews by authors writing about the interior West.  The publication also features visual artists– photographers, painters and sculptors who layer their images over the landscape that inspires them.
