August 10 at 7pm, the evening will consist of a silent auction and a two hour show featuring scenes, improv from BIG (Bend Improv Group) and songs including several numbers from the upcoming Central Oregon premier of Monty Python’s Spamalot being held at the Tower Theatre.
Also during the evening, the three winning plays submitted for the Playwrights Platform will be announced. Those three plays, chosen from 12 submissions, will go on to the next round of competition in October, where the audience and panel of judges will chose which one will be produced next spring.
Proceeds from the evening’s event will go to support the production and rehearsals of Spamalot, as well as the upcoming season of entertainment. Reserved tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. The silent auction will take place from 7-8pm and there will be a no host bar. Some of the items up for auction include fine custom made jewelry, a personal training package, gift certificates for massages and dining, a custom pet portrait, season passes and several locally made items.
