A summer of unforgettable events at Black Butte Ranch will continue over Labor Day weekend. Festivities kick off at 5:30pm Friday, August 29, with Patrick Lamb performing live at the Ranch. Patrick Lamb combines the influences of Funk, Soul, R&B and a flavor of Jazz to create his own unique sound as a performer and a songwriter.
Patrick’s last three singles have been top five nationally on the Billboard Charts, and Patrick has been inducted as one of the youngest members into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Patrick has been given the Independent Spirit Award by the city of Portland and regularly toured the world with tours and performances with Gino Vannelli, Bobby Caldwell, Jeff Lorber Fusion and Smokey Robinson. Patrick is now breaking out on his own as a solo artist – selling out concerts and leaving people on their feet.
Tickets are $18/Adults; $15/Ages 6-12, and 5 and under free. Tickets can be purchased at bendticket.com or by calling 541-59-.1252.
Art at the Ranch is the highlight for Saturday and Sunday festivities, featuring an art show and sale, silent auction, live music from local musicians and kid’s activities. This event is free and open to the public. The Annual Art at the Ranch event is sponsored by the Black Butte Ranch Art Guild to support Sisters School District’s visual arts programs, provide art scholarships for Sisters High School graduates and purchase regional art for display in Black Butte Ranch public spaces.
New this year is a Construction Mural Project, a fundraiser for Sister’s High School & Sister’s Middle School Art Programs. A total of eight panels were painted by Sisters students to compete in a fundraiser for their Art Programs. All visitors and attendees at the Art at the Ranch event will be asked to vote for their favorite panel by purchasing tickets for $1/vote.
Voting tickets will be placed into individual voting ballot boxes. 100% of the money raised by the voting will go to the school that submitted the panel. In addition, the BBR Art Guild will match to $500 for the 2 winning panels, one from the High School, and one from the Middle School or Americana Project. After the event, the panels will continue to be displayed to cover construction area fencing during the Lodge Area Redevelopment construction project.
Additional weekend activities include Labor Day Sidewalk Sales at Glaze Meadow Sports Shop and Big Meadow Golf Shop, featuring great discounts and prices on summer clothing, golf apparel, accessories, bags and more.
