During summer in Central Oregon, event choices are numerous. Any given night of the week music, festival, art and theatre options are stacked so thick that one must spend time weighing out the possibilities. Just look at the music options for August 1: Big Head Todd and the Monsters at the Athletic Club in Bend or Johnny Clegg at Alive After Five in the Old Mill? Funktastik-Motown/Soul at Picnic in the Park in Prineville or Downhill Ryder at Music in the Canyon in Redmond?
Cascade A&E has made your decision making even harder with our new online calendar at CascadeAE.com. We don’t want to make your life complex, but we do want to represent all of the outstanding venues in Central Oregon. So we have improved our calendar format, allowing you to sort events by day, week, month and type: museum, art, theatre, literature, music/dance, film, festival and special event.
We do our best to collect all entertainment events represented, but now if you notice something missing, we have added a simple online form to submit your listing: www.cascadeae.com/calendar/add-event.
And, since space is limited on our printed calendar each month (see pages 37-38) the online calendar will be your best bet to get all the options for your long summer days and busy weekends. A Thirsty Thursday wine tasting at Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyard or Munch and Music in Drake Park, the decision is yours; you can’t lose!
