The Thursday November 15 meeting will feature a presentation called I Did it My Way and cover Dehlinger’s learnings in world of self-publishing.
Dehlinger self-published her first novel, Brute Heart, in 2010. A Native Oregonian, she is a University of Oregon graduate with a BA in History. Dehlinger writes poetry, essays and short stories set in the American West. She serves on The Nature of Words Advisory Committee. Her nature essay, Last Ride, won first place in the 2011 Nature of Words Rising Star competition, and her poem, A Bar Stool’s Lament received a Writer’s Digest honorable mention. Her essay Fallen Idols was among the winners in the 2012 Literary Harvest Writing Contest. She lives in Bend with her husband, Dick, and two cats named Kiki and Cali.
