Saturday, February 14, 7pm: Chicks with Picks 5th Annual fundraiser returns. Three local female fronted bands will play at Volcanic Theatre Pub (70 SW Century Drive in Bend) on February 14 from 7-11pm to raise money for Saving Grace. 

This event has raised over $5,000 for Saving Grace over the past 4 years and raised awareness of the services offered in the local community.

 

In Fall of 2014, Saving Grace received the award for being the 2nd Best Medium-Sized Nonprofit at the Oregon Nonprofit Awards in Portland. They have provided support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking since 1977. The services they offer include free and confidential sheltering, support groups, temporary restraining order assistance, therapy, counseling, a 24-hour hotline, and supervised child visitation and exchange are some of the services offered to thousands of Central Oregon residents each year.

 

This years’ Chicks with Picks line-up is (playing in this order):
Kim Kelley and Friends 7-7:45, Tone Red 8-8:45, Broken Down Guitars 9-9:45, and a special performance by all the women of these bands, Vagina Band 10-10:30
