BLUEGRASS BENEFIT FOR FAMILY KITCHEN
Come enjoy an afternoon of foot-stomping BLUEGRASS MUSIC on April 19 for a great cause to benefit the Family Kitchen of Bend. Help get hot meals to those in our community in need and take in some of Oregon’s best bluegrass music at the same time. The show will take place April 19, 3 pm at St. Helen’s Hall at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Music will consist of two outstanding Oregon groups Rock Ridge and Hardly Heard.
Rock Ridge has been wowing bluegrass audiences for over 9 years specializing in hard-driving rhythm, stellar vocals and stunning instrumentals. Their repertoire includes traditional and contemporary bluegrass, originals, old-time country and gospel. Reviewers say: “This is good, straight-ahead bluegrass!”. Members Josie Grant, Dale Adkins, Rick Grant and Suzanne Adkins perform clustered around a single microphone in the classic style perfected by traditional bluegrass greats, resulting in a choreographed show as pleasing to the eye as the ears.
Hardly Heard plays Bluegrass/Americana music influenced by the Country Gentlemen, the Lonesome Sisters and Hot Rize. They mix stellar harmonies with traditional Bluegrass and Country instrumentals to form an enjoyable musical experience for any crowd.
