The public is invited to the release party for local poet Kake (pronounced “cake”) Huck’s Sentenced to Venice. It will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, at Dudley’s Bookshop Café in downtown Bend. At 7:00 pm Huck will livestream on Facebook a reading of four poems from the collection. Snacks will be available and guests are encouraged to purchase wine or beer from the Café. Sentenced to Venice is published by Bend’s Dancing Moon Press and is unique in that each poem is a single sentence and each sentence is about Venice, Italy.
