Recently premiered in 2022, this ballet represents the collaborative efforts of an entire family with the lyrics, story, design, and choreography all created by Kevin’s immediate family. Brought to life by the musical performance of Paula Dreyer, this ballet tugs at all of your heartstrings as it follows a couple from young love, through a war, and picking up the pieces of their lives in the aftermath.

During the height of the pandemic, gifted Chicago dance photographer Peter Hinsdale summoned talented dancers from around the world to film themselves dancing in their environment with no music. Paula carefully set her original music to the video, paying close attention to timing, movements, and energy.

Typically, choreographers create their movements based on music. This process was the opposite, with the music being set to the movement.
