The High Desert Museum is excited to host our annual Lonza Vulture Venture 5K Trail/Walk and Kids’ Dash on Saturday, June 16, 2018. 5K participants will experience a unique behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Museum on a course made primarily of dirt roads and trails. Following the race, guests will enjoy a post-event celebration with music, food, beverages (including Blooky Mary’s) and interactions with living history characters. Museum admission on race day will be included with registration. Wildlife and pioneer costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded. Awards will be issued to the top three overall male and female finishers in each age bracket: under 8, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. All finishers will receive a head band and pint glass.

5K: Start at 8:00 am, Kids’ Dash: Start at 8:45 am

Early bird (through May 4, 2018) registration: Members $20, non-members $25, youth (8-12) $15.

May 5-June 15 registration: members $25, non-members $30, youth (8-12) $20.
