Award presentation and readings by winning author and finalists.
Inspired by poet and author Ellen Waterston, this literary award
honors writing that illustrates artistic excellence, sensitivity to place and
desert literacy. The program includes “A Desert Conversation,”
featuring noted desert authors and scholars.

A creative writing workshop will be offered in the afternoon preceding the award ceremony.
