High Desert Chamber Music’s (HDCM) 16th season, brought to you by German Master Tech, continues with the Kaplan Duo, making their first appearance in the HDCM Concert Series. Among the world’s leading violinists, Mark Kaplan has maintained a flourishing career as a soloist and chamber musician for almost five decades. Sharing the stage with him is none other than Yamaha Artist David Kaplan, an accomplished soloist and recitalist in his own right. Their combined artistry has garnered widespread acclaim across the nation.
This concert will take place on Friday, December 15 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Oregon. Ticket holders may join the musicians at 6:45pm for a pre-concert talk. The concert promises an evening of exquisite music that will captivate the hearts of chamber music enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The program includes Beethoven Sonata in A Major, Ravel Sonata No. 2 and Brahms Sonata in D minor.
As part of HDCM Educational efforts, both Mark Kaplan and David Kaplan will lead a violin and piano master class, respectively, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bend on Saturday, December 16. These events are presented in partnership with the Cascade School of Music.
