Ya’ll better get ready– Saturday, March 18 at 7:30pm the Quebe Sisters take over the Tower with unabashed, unadulterated Texas Swing! Presented by the Tower Theatre Foundation, the singing, swinging, triple-fiddle playing Quebes (rhymes with “maybe”) consist of sisters Grace, Sophia and Hulda, backed by acoustic bass and guitar. Prepare for fierce fiddles, close harmonies and authentic Americana from the trio who’ve performed at NYC’s Lincoln Center, the Grand Ole Opry and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and shared the stage with country legends Willie Nelson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Ray Benson, Asleep at the Wheel and Riders in the Sky.
“Listening to Quebe Sisters sing is nothing short of mesmerizing,” wrote Chris Richards of the Washington Post. Familial fiddle champions from Washington, The Voetbergs, return to the Tower for an upbeat opening set of roots and folk music.
