The Gala, held on Saturday, December 15 at 6pm, offers an evening of performance, dinner and silent auction. The concert features members of the Crown City String Quartet: Isabelle Senger, Carrie Holzman Little and Dane Little performing the Serenade for string trio by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Proceeds from this evening will benefit the programs of High Desert Chamber Music (HDCM), including the Spotlight Series, benefitting Educational Outreach. “We continue to receive a tremendous amount of support from local businesses and we are working hard to retain and grow this important aspect of Central Oregon cultural life,” states Executive Director Isabelle Senger.
Educational outreach efforts include providing students with direct contact to the guest performers through performances and Q&A sessions at local schools, providing complimentary tickets to performances and “Spotlight Chamber Players,” a program that provides a high level of regular chamber music instruction and performance opportunities through HDCM.
The mission of High Desert Chamber Music is to bring world class chamber music and musicians to Central Oregon. Through their concert series and educational outreach programs they aspire to heighten a level of awareness, appreciation and understanding of this great genre of classical music. Now in its fifth season, HDCM has presented a broad range of chamber groups, ranging from string trios to piano quintets.
Tickets for all events are available through HDCM online or by phone. Seating requests are taken and seating is limited, so advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.
