Innovation Theater Works Presents Series of Music Events with Nightsounds

A night of peace, love and music from The Woodstock Festival August 25.

Innovation Theater Works and Roach Productions will be kicking off the first in a series of music events by presenting NightSounds – Woodstock Edition, a night of peace, love and music from The Woodstock Festival. This one-of-a-kind music event will feature local and world class musicians playing select tunes from many of the bands and artists who played at Woodstock on Yasgur’s Farm in 1969. Musical acts may also include some original tunes and other cover tunes from the era.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 25 from 7-10pm. The location is Innovation Theater Works event center located at 1155 SW Division Street in Bend.

Featured local artists include David Gillespie, Mow Mow Kit Kat, Organic Music Farm, Holly Hamilton & Friends, with featured Grammy Award winning artists True Blue consisting of Mick Lee, Richard Taelour, Andy Armer, with Ken Emerson, Jeff Ingraham and Georges Bouhey. For more information on True Blue you can visit their ReverbNation website at http://www.reverbnation.com/micklee.

Members of the cast for ITW’s production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest will be on hand to add a theatrical element, announce the artists and provide some interesting facts and trivia about Woodstock throughout the evening.

Food will be available by Country Boy BBQ & Catering and Dump City Dumplings. A selection of cold beverages, craft beers, wine and Woodstock themed mixed drinks will be available.

Brad Hills of ITW had this to say. “We’ve had successful music events here before and this one just seemed like a natural seeing that The Tempest is set at Woodstock.” Stan Roach of Roach Productions added “Brad and I have been talking about doing a music series for quite awhile. Themed music events provide artists and music lovers a variety of styles and sounds and this just seemed like the perfect time to get it started”.

Admission is $5 in advance or $6.00 at the door. For tickets you can go online to www.innovationtw.org or you pick them up at Innovation Theater Works, or Sunday Guitars across from Cash & Carry on 3rd Street. Minimum age is 16 years. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
