The third annual Juried Sunriver Art Faire, sponsored by the Sunriver Women’s Club, will take place in the Village at Sunriver August 10-12.  All proceeds go to support non-profit organizations that assist families, the arts and education in South Deschutes County. The Faire hours Friday and Saturday will be 10am-7pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm.  

Limited to 60 exhibitors, the Faire will showcase artists displaying and selling their fine arts and crafts.  After last year’s Faire, one artist remarked, “The Sunriver Art Faire is a wonderfully organized and extremely well attended event; the artists are treated royally by both the organizers and attendees.”

In addition to the opportunity to view art, visit with the artists and purchase their unique creations, visitors will be treated to a variety of local entertainers throughout the Faire. One area not to be missed by families is a Kid’s Art Center. With guidance from adults, kids will be able to create their own original works of art. This area will be open all three days of the Faire, and young aspiring artists are welcome to return multiple times to create new works of art.

Special events will include a performance Friday evening 5-7pm by the vocal group Cinder Blue, winners of the 2011 Art Faire Talent Show.  Saturday evening 7-9:30pm in the Village at Sunriver brings a return of last year’s highly popular Street Dance, featuring the Klassixs Ayre Band. 

Sunday will be Family Day at the Faire, kicked off with a pancake breakfast from 8-10am. Other family friendly activities planned during the Sunday Faire hours include a puppet theater, a caricature artist and various young entertainers. Providing the perfect end to a fun Sunday is the esteemed Sunriver Music Festival’s Family Concert, planned for 2pm at the newly opened SHARC facility of Sunriver.
