If you’ve found yourself wondering how you were going to fill up yet another summer day with your family, Unity Community of Central Oregon has the answer with its family-friendly programs happening throughout the month of August at the Grange Hall, 62855 Powell Butte Road, Bend.
On Saturday, August 16, Unity’s film night will offer a showing of Disney’s Frozen, the 2013 computer-animated musical fantasy-comedy film that’s suitable for all ages. The beloved Academy Award and Golden Globe award-winner runs from 6:30-9pm. The showing is free, but donations will be accepted for raffle tickets, dessert and refreshments.
On August 23 it’ll be time for roars and guffaws during laugh night, which starts at 6:30 and goes to 9pm. Got a good joke or some good one-liners you can’t resist sharing? Laugh night is open microphone will draw out those reluctant comedians and surely tickle a few ribs.
Lastly, on Saturday, August 30, Unity Community will be hosting strut your stuff, a warm and engaging talent show. Whatever your talent – whistling, warbling or doing the Watusi – this evening offers a chance for everyone to be on stage.
