Violinist George Shiolas will perform during an evening of fine wines, beverages and dessert on Tuesday, May 8. The event starts at 7pm at Touchmark at Mt. Bachelor Village, 19800 S.W. Touchmark Way in Bend.
The event is a benefit for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Shiolas is the founder and music director of the Lydon Ensemble. He has performed as a soloist with several American orchestras. Shiolas, who has recorded four CDs, is one of the Northwest’s leading string teachers, clinicians and chamber music coaches. He has also received numerous awards and honors, including the Jacques Gershkovich Award, Congress of Strings Scholarship and Eleanor Lieber Award. Shiolas attended Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under Charles Treger and earned a bachelor’s degree in music.
The public is invited, but space is limited. Reservations will be accepted up to the day of the event by calling 541-383-1414. Tickets are $25 per person or $45 per couple; the evening’s attire is semiformal.
