Visitors attending First Friday in September October were given ballots to vote for one of 15 artists that best portrayed the exhibit’s theme, Bend inspires its children: our future.

The selected artists were paired with 15 child-focused organizations to explore the theme through the work of the non-profit. From 5:30—6:30pm, the final five artist partner teams will talk about their art work with our community’s children families. Scheduled to present are:

Ande Cardwell/ Healthy Beginnings.
John Sweet/KIDS Center.
Shelley Futch Anderson/Kids@Heart.
Linda Gillard/MountainStar Family Relief Nursery.
R y Johnson/Partners in Care-Child Bereavement.
A special children’s art exhibit will also be on view at City Hall on the mezzanine.
These works will be archived by the Des Chutes Historical Museum for re-visiting  when the children grow up.
